Advantages
Method
An ion selective membrane separates the sample solution from the electrode. Nitrate ions can pass through the membrane while other ions are excluded. The electrical voltage between this nitrate electrode and a reference electrode in solution is measured, allowing a continuous measurement with short response time.

NITRATO Nitrate Analyser
NITRATO-LAB / NITRATO-PRO / NITRATO-FIX
The NITRATO series features online analysers for the continuous monitoring of the nitrate nitrogen concentration (NO3-N). The advantages of the analyser include automatic calibration at regular intervals and the integrated sample pump, which makes an external feeding pump unnecessary in most cases. Available in three different housings: Standing with castors as NITRATO-LAB, wall-mounted as NITRATO-PRO or as NITRATO-FIX in a heated stainless steel cabinet for outdoor installation at the site of measurement.

NITRATO analysers measure the nitrate concentration of the sample continuously 24/7 with an ion selective electrode. While the measurement principle is identical to that of probe systems, the analysers offer additional features: NITRATO analysers regulate the pH to the optimum value (an important, often ignored condition for correct nitrate values) and automatically takes care of the regular calibrations. Another advantage lies in the fact that thanks to large pipe and tube diameters no filtration is required, saving money and time-consuming maintenance.
