Flow Measurement (Q)

EDS 52 Pressure-based Flow Meter

Absolute pressure meter with high purity, long-term stable ceramic measurement cell. Resistant against overload and vacuum. For continuous flow measurement in liquids.

Required accessory: Measuring transducer GICON. The pressure measurement cell determines the filling level, GICON calculates the flow by evaluating the measured values according to the relevant flume characteristics.

Advantages

  • Excellent long-term stability
  • Robust design
  • Professional installation by GIMAT
  • ATEX certified
  • Easy to install

The ceramic membrane of the measuring cell detects the hydrostatic pressure caused by the liquid column. This pressure induces a change of the capacity of the measuring cell. The filling level can be determined from the height of the liquid column.

  • Deep wells
  • River water (dammed lakes, water power plants)

SIEMENS MAG 5100 Magnetic inductive Flow Meter

Accurate and reliable flow measurement in pipes. For ground water, drinking water, waste water, cooling water or sludge with up to 40% solids. Available for almost all nominal sizes. Professional advice, installation and commissioning on site by GIMAT. Suitable for drinking water thanks to special coating. Suitable for applications which require official verification.

Advantages

  • High accuracy
  • Suitable for media containing solids
  • For nominal sizes from DN 15 to DN 2000
  • No moving parts

Magnetic coils mounted on the pipe generate a magnetic field. A liquid flowing through this field induces a voltage, which depends on the flow rate.

  • Drinking water
  • Wastewater
  • Process water
  • Sludge

USS 80 Ultrasonic-based Flow Meter

Ultrasonic sensors for flow measurement. Required accessory: Measuring transducer GICON. The ultrasonic sensor determines the filling level, GICON evaluates the measured values to calculate the flow.

Professional support, installation and commissioning on site by GIMAT.

Advantages

  • Narrow cone angle
  • Teachable
  • Professional installation by GIMAT

The sensor generates ultrasonic pulses which are reflected by surfaces. This echo is detected when it reaches the sensor. The distance of the object is calculated from the travel time of the ultrasonic signal. This measurement principle is suitable for most materials including liquids, as long as the sensor is installed in a right angle to the surface of the liquid.
